Regina Troglin – Ship’s Captain
We have already had some exciting events this year, and I’m thrilled to share a few updates with you.
So far, we’ve successfully hosted our New Year’s Eve party, Super Bowl Potluck, and the 2nd Annual Valentine’s Day Dinner. Each event was a great success, with high attendance, delicious food, and a vibrant atmosphere. And the year is just getting started! The staff continues to work tirelessly to make every event even better than the last, and their dedication is truly appreciated.
A highlight of our recent events was the 2nd Annual Valentine’s Day Dinner. Guests had the choice between a Tri-Tip or Seafood Boil option, both of which were well-received, generating positive revenue. In a heartwarming gesture, any leftover food from the event was donated to the Women’s Shelter in Ridgecrest, providing over 15 meals to those in need. A special thank you goes out to Debbie Simolon, who played a key role in coordinating with the shelter to ensure a smooth food delivery. We also appreciate all the members who helped pack the food for transport!
In other news, on Thursday, February 13th, the membership voted to renew our sponsorship and partnership with the Sea Cadets program. We’re excited to continue working with them and are looking forward to many joint events that will strengthen our bond. A special moment to look forward to will be the Sea Cadets joining our honor guard to post the colors at the District 5 convention on April 12th. This will be an excellent opportunity to showcase the incredible young people in our community.
There’s so much happening, and we’ll continue to share updates as we go! Be sure to mark your calendars for the many upcoming events that are sure to be a lot of fun.
Thank you all for your continued support and involvement. I look forward to seeing you at the next event!
