Regina Troglin – Ship’s Captain
As we begin a new VFW year, I want to extend a warm welcome to all incoming Commanders, Presidents, and officers across our Department, District, and local Ship. Congratulations on your elections and appointments—it is an honor to serve alongside such passionate and committed individuals.
At Ship 4084, our focus this year is on community engagement, camaraderie, and collective growth. Together with our Auxiliary, we will strengthen our presence through meaningful outreach, service projects, and events that reflect the core values of the Veterans of Foreign Wars.
We are setting the tone for the year with the following key priorities:
Community Engagement: We will continue to be active and visible in our town, cultivating partnerships and reminding our neighbors that veterans and their families are an essential part of the community fabric. And that we stand ready to assist when called up.
Comradeship & Teamwork: We will prioritize collaboration between the Post and Auxiliary—recognizing that we are one unified team with a shared mission, not separate organizations. While also fostering a deeper connection with our Cooties and Cooties Auxiliary.
Training & Leadership Development: We are committed to developing all our members by offering resources, training opportunities, and mentorship. Leadership should be a shared responsibility, and we will actively encourage the rotation and development of leaders across both the Comrades and Auxiliary.
Respect & Unity: Above all, we will foster an environment grounded in respect, professionalism, and support. One where every member feels valued, heard, and safe. We are committed to ending any patterns of disrespect, inappropriate behavior, or division that may have hindered us in the past.
With your support and shared dedication, I know this will be a year of renewed energy, unity, and impact. Let us move forward together—united in purpose, driven by service, and proud of who we are.
